The SONROND 503 inspection machine is suitable for the control of position-stable parts. On a continuously running round plate, the parts are controlled by one or more cameras. The machine's key feature is its ability to sort by different criteria.
It uses proven and industry-compatible systems with the latest processor technology. Thanks to multi-tasking, high performance can be achieved while delivering excellent accuracy. With the user-friendly, graphic user interface, the operator can train each new product. With the SONDROD'S powerful measurement tools, new products can be configured without any special knowledge.
With several cameras arranged sequentially, products are inspected in different views. The optical components are defined for specific problems. Industrial Photonics' carpet tile inspection station inspects carpet tiles for defects including surface defects such as missing pile and marks, edge defects such as ragged edge effect and incorrect dimensions, badly attached backing, and missing print on the back. The carpet cutting machine presses eight tiles (500 x 500 mm) per stroke. After the tiles are cut they are pass through an inspection station containing PPT VISION cameras that check the top surface for defects. Edges are then checked for straightness and ragged edge defects, and dimensions are verified using two fixed edge inspection cameras and two cameras on a linear track.

Food manufacturers are held to strict agency regulations regarding product quality and consistency. Repeatable visual inspections are critical to ensure consumers receive a consistent and safe product. As regulations have increased, machine vision technology has become more intelligent to follow suit—a trend that some machine builders are using to their advantage.
The Budé Group – a family-owned company located in Masstricht, Netherlands – sought a vision solution that delivered a rare combination of sophisticated technology, cost-efficiency and simplicity of use. They selected the PPT VISION IMPACT® M-Series Embedded Vision System for their equipment offering, called the Multipacker®. Vision Competence Center (VCC), the distributor for PPT VISION in Heerlen, Netherlands, helped to deploy the M-Series Embedded Vision System.
The Multipacker system is used to inspect a product’s quality, including how a product is shaped, oriented and sized – before it is packaged for distribution. In one application of this technology, Budé employed the Multipacker system to inspect hamburger patties – which are fried, then frozen for preservation – to verify product quality and consistency in color.

Product Name: Water Cooler Bottle Inspection

Industrial Photonics developed a machine to inspect water cooler bottles. Bottles that are defective due to damage, have incorrect labels, or contain foreign material are removed from the line before they are refilled. As bottles are fed into the inspection station on a conveyor belt, a sensor triggers a strobe light that lights the bottle from the bottom. Two cameras snap images and the images, along with the inspection results, are displayed immediately on an inspection station monitor. If a bottle fails inspection, indicated by a red border on the image and a red tower light, the operator removes the bottle from the line. The inspected bottles are then cleaned, refilled, and returned to customers.

The KT-200 fastener inspection and sorting system is designed by Shanghai Kingtek to serve the fast growing manufacturing and assembly industries in China.
