Application Description

Recipe management files are typically integrated into a main inspection program to support the many part types in an application. This task can be difficult to implement, particularly for the less experienced users. The Recipe Management application designed by Simac Masic & TSS BV is not an application solution for inspecting products. It is rather a single .vp file that can be added to any existing inspection program. No additional modification to the existing inspection program is needed. Once the recipe management .vp file is added, one can easily create the recipes to support the part types. The recipes only contain the tools with data. All the management is taken out of the recipes so it’s straightforward and easy to implement. The Recipe files consist of two tasks; Import Data, and Export Data. The Import Data task consists of Data Instance tools which retrieve the data that should be saved from the main inspection task. The Export Data task consists of Data Set tools which retrieve the data from the Import Data task and set it back to the inspection task. A corresponding CPM template is also available. That makes this application easy to use for anyone who wants to work with recipes in any type of applications. The CPM side the Recipe Management exists of two tabs; Administrator and Operator. The Administrator tab provides options for Open, Save, Save As, and Delete recipes, while the Operator tab only has the Open option. The Recipe Management can also be used to control multiple IMPACT vision devices. Simply load the recipe management vp file on all the IMPACTs. A separate control box for each IMPACT is available from the CPM side. This allows the operator to control the recipes for each camera individually.
