Application Program Files
These downloadable files are real IMPACT VPM application programs. They contain vision program (.vp) files, control panel (.cp) files, and file camera images.
Extract these zip files and load them onto an IMPACT vision device and a PC (you don't need a camera). You will see the power and capabilities of IMPACT for a real application.
Be sure to look on the first tab of the control panel, or in the included Read Me file, for specific instructions on loading and running each program.
Button Label Inspection
This application demonstrates an application that uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to inspect keypad key labels. The inspection task locates the part then verifies that each of the key labels is present and correct.

Sample Recipe Demonstration
This application shows how to set up the same inspection on multiple part sizes and/or types.
Using the Control Panel, the user can choose and inspect up to 4 different part types. They can also change and save parameters, as well as load parameters for a different part type. (Tested with IMPACT 7.1)
Wrapped Text Location and Verification
This application uses VPM's Unwrap and OCR tools to locate, read, and verify circular text at various angles. With the Control Panel, the user can view the inspected images and trigger the inspection. (Tested with IMPACT 7.1)
Image Buffer Demonstration
This application shows how to set up an image buffer. With the Control Panel, the user can view the buffered images, as well as reload a buffered image into the inspection task for a retest. (Tested with IMPACT 7.1)
Stamping Inspection
In this example, a reel-to-reel stamped part is inspected for bent, malformed, or missing “fingers.” Morphology tools, the Grayscale Template Tool, and Blob Analysis and Image Buffer call-tasks are used. The control panel includes adjustments for Retrain Noise Level and Template Match Sensitivity. Total task run time is about 50 milliseconds. (Tested with IMPACT 7.1)
Filament Inspection
This application is a good example of a multi-function vision application, including blob analysis, measurement, and contrast sensing. The CPM control panels are very advanced, including password protection, user levels, and re-training through CPM. This is a fully integrated application. The user does not need to understand how to program VPM or CPM because all re-train functions are performed through control panels.(Tested with IMPACT 7.1)
