PPT Vision - Optics Calculator

PPT Vision's Optics Calculator quickly calculates all the parameters you need to find the optimum camera and lens setup for your vision application. First you  select the type of camera you are using from a list. The calculator has all the camera specifications built-in.

Next, use the Select Function menu to find the parameter you need: Lens, Magnification, FOV, Working Distance, Resolution or Pixel Blur. Finally, enter the known parameters and the calculator will quickly find, for example, the best working distance from the camera to the inspection or the best lens size for the desired field of view.

Download the Optics Calculator to use it on your computer. No installation is needed. Download the zip file, unzip it, open the ppt_optics folder, then double-click the Optics Calculator shortcut to start the program. (NOTE: You must have the Impact Software or Java Runtime installed to use the calculator.)
